Another Great Day

Today we...learned the letter "B" is for Blaylock.

built houses with colorful blocks.

danced like no one was watching.

took a trip on the ocean.

let the wind blow through our hair.

built a choo choo track for our imaginary mice.

loved like we have never been hurt.

Itsy Bitsy

The Color Purple

Jordan wanted to make something for his favorite girl. It was a pleasant surprise since everything he makes is always for Daddy and he always wants to paint, color and mark with orange.

He worked really hard to paint this BeAutiFul birdhouse for his most favorite girl, Leah.

Her favorite color is purple, at least according to Jordan. Lately when we have a lollipop or any other treat that requires them to pick a color he tells me he wants orange and he shouts that she wants purple. Our little bird better start talking soon so she can pick her own favorite color.

Rub A Dub Dub

There is a silly goose in the tub. Jordan has just started getting brave and leaning his head back in the bathtub so I can rinse his hair when it gets washed. He was so proud that today he insisted that I run to get the camera to take a picture of him in action.

I said no at first because, well he was in the tub and I did not want to leave him alone but he kept asking and I knew it was just in the computer room so I ran as quickly as I could and grabbed it to get a pic or two

or three.
He was cracking himself up when I came back to take the pictures because he kept turning away from the camera. He thought it was hilarious!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Love & Hugs ~ Jordan & Leah

hopefully

Not a sign of things

not a sign of things to come.

Snow Day

It looked so inviting through the window, the shine was shining and there was fresh sparkly snow on the ground so shortly after the kids woke up this morning I got the little people dressed for a little fun in the snow.

It was fun. For about 2 minutes and 20 seconds.

Then the wind started blowing and whipping snow in our faces.

I should have taken Leah's first hint that she was done outside.

I was pressing my luck and she was letting me know it.

She is a girl who knows how to get what she wants so the girls went inside to relax and watch the boys work from inside the warm house.

Jordan wanted to put his gloves to good use so he stayed outside to help Daddy shovel.

Sloppy Kisses

Sweet Kisses

I have to admit it, I am one of those people. I am one of those who secretly looks forward to Valentine's Day. I know it is a made up holiday but I can't help myself it has so many of the things that I like even if it is forced.
I like love, I like kisses & hugs, I like to be held and cuddled, I like hearts, I like candy (that is actually an understatement, I LOVE candy), I like flowers and I can't wait for the day when I get handmade valentines from my kids. What about you?

Just For Fun

It cracks Jordan up when I set the camera up to take pictures up "all by itself." I usually end up with a blurry, horrible mess of a picture but these two turned out decent. This is a rare glimpse of the mother bear who is usually only caught behind the camera. I usually nap when the kids nap (I know, I know I have a rough life) but today I played around with Photoshop for a while and tried out some artsy fartsy stuff with these pics. I was trying my best to hide the mess behind us.

I love the way Leah is looking at me in this picture.

This Little Piggy

loves his new "clippers". I bought my bigger guy his very own scissors and today was the first day that we had a chance to create something with them. He had so much fun. I drew the shapes on the paper and guided his hand while he was cutting the paper. The whole time we were cutting he was giggling and saying, "this is great Mommy!", he was so happy. At one point he looked up and said "you love me Mommy"! It was meant as a statement not a question and with that being said, I knew that I must be doing something right.

He was especially proud of the last minute addition of the orange shoes!!

Who Is This Baby?

I was looking through old pictures this evening and I came across so many of Leah that I would not even recognize as her. This one was taken days after she came home, she has changed so much since she was born! If this picture was not in with the rest of her pictures I would be hard pressed to confirm that it was of her. Do any of you guys have that problem with any of your kids??
