glimpses week 17

These two have such and incredible bond. I adore that about my husband. Adore. I knew from the moment that I met him that he would be a great father but I did not know how great.

When I looked out the kitchen window and saw these two laughing, chatting away and smooching I could not resist grabbing my camera to snap a few pics all the while hoping I would not ruin the moment.

52 on friday week 16 (perspective)

I wish I would have thought of something cool like these forced perspective images before 4 pm on Thursday. I can't wait to see what the rest of the group came up with this week. Unlike mine, I am sure there will be some really creative takes on the theme.
Be sure to head on over and check out how Genevieve Flynn, Sussex, NB, Canada Photographer interpreted the theme this week.

52 on friday week 15 (blue)

I kept it simple this week. My daughter was especially happy with my decision to snap a pic of her pretty blue eyes.

Be sure to check out how the the fabulous Faye Kingston, Miramichi, NB Photographer interpreted the theme this week.

10 on 10

I have not been keeping up with the 10 on 10 posts. I find it hard to keep my big camera on me all day.

I jumped back in this month. 12 photos on the 12th of the month. Just a snapshot of our everyday life. This day will never come again but these moments, our little slice of life is captured here forever

1. Rise and shine for the little monkey's

2. T.V.  time, thank you Doc. Mcstuffins. At this age and stage any show both my kids dig gets an A+ in my book

3. Patiently waiting for teacher,  first day of the 2nd level swim lessons. We had to bribe him.

4. 2nd level swim lesson bribe. He said the 2nd level was awesome!

5. Class dismissed, chatting with his pal. Came home today and told me his "pal" told him a joke today, I asked him what it was his answer, "hello dirty under pants". He laughed his dirty little underpants right off

6. Smile for mommy. love the light in our garage...perfection

7. Hop scotching it up, they have no idea how to play. I keep trying to teach them but all they do is throw the rock and jump around...funny stuff

8. Paging Dr. Jordan, paging Dr. Jordan. Leah scratched her leg and he ran to get the  bandaids. She did not want my help, only the care of her big brother would do

9. Lovin' Leah style. She is silly, simply silly.

10. Time for mommy. Jordan picked me a flower while we were outside. Of course, I had to get a pic.

11. Dinner time. No shirt, no shoes, no service policy would never work around here

12. A little playtime before bed. Love this jumpy. So fun!

project 26 | tablescape

I am so excited, I have been asked to join a project 26 with a group of incredibly talented woman from across the United States. This 26 week project will consist of two blog posts each month, one will be a “me & mine” post and the second will be a challenge or theme photo.

This week’s theme is: tablescapes. When I first think of a tablescape I think of a table straight out of a Martha Stewart magazine. Gorgoeous and styled down to every last detail. My own table does not fit that bill...ever. The table is set just before dinner and even then it is set with mismatched plastic cups, a rainbow of IKEA plates and paper napkins. Eye candy? No way.

I had to go a different route since I did not want to bail out on posting in my first week with the group. On Tuesdays I have a hot date with one of my favorite guys at one of the best tables in town. Every week when I drop Leah off at dance class Jordan and I walk next door and get a tasty treat. I always indulge in a medium French Vanilla with extra cream, extra sugar. He has such nice manners that much to his delight, the cashier always gives him a few extra munchkins in his bag.

We always have an extra guest at our table. Today it was a stormtrooper... I think. When Jordan saw my camera out he asked me to take his picture. I showed him the picture and he did not like it so he moved this guys head and asked me take it again. After the change he said it was perfect.
